We added an Events page to our main website so you can find all of our upcoming activities in one place. Speaking of, the rest of September and October are quite busy for us. Here are FOUR upcoming events:
Positively Gay Zine Party - 9/24 ✂️
On Saturday, September 24, please join NQH as we celebrate our first birthday. Learn to make queer zines and eat some yummy snacks. The party starts at 1:30pm at the Edmondson Pike Branch Library and will last until 3:30pm.
Open House - 10/4 🏠
On Tuesday, October 4, NQH founder and director Sarah Calise invites members of the public and prospective volunteers to an Open House to learn more about NQH’s origins, its current status, and future project ideas. The Open House will take place at the Green Hills Branch Library from 6:00-7:30pm.
Community Digitization Day - 10/15 💻
Do you or someone you know have historic photos, fliers, diaries, letters, buttons, posters, shirts, etc. related to Nashville or Middle Tennessee’s LGBTQ+ history? Do you want to digitize this material and donate the digital copies to NQH’s future Digital Archive? Then come on out to Vanderbilt’s Center for Digital Humanities (1101 19th Avenue S.) on Saturday, October 15 for our first Community Digitization Day. It will take place from 10:00am-4:00pm. If you plan to donate items, please fill out this Participant Form.
Online Open House - 10/22 🏠
